Artist Statement::

findingneema (2012-2019)/take.back.theinternet (2019-Present) is an evolving performance/meta-archive, documenting my coming of age as a nomad in the #digitaldiaspora and responding to the following question: if your great, great, great grandmother had an Instagram, what would you want to see on it?

this performance/archive has been guided by octavia butler's liberatory scripture, anna everett's OG afrogeek scholarship, jose garcia muñoz's utopic dreams, and elizabeth mputu's black digital world/self-making.
